2020-21 Standardized Test Scores - Terra Nova

Test scores are based on the Terra Nova spring school assessment administered in February 2020. The scores represent students who were enrolled last spring in grades 1-8. The Terra Nova Test is an achievement test commonly given to students in grades K-12 which measures achievement in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, vocabulary, spelling and other areas. The Terra Nova testing is published by CTB/McGraw-Hill and has set the bar for the highest standards in research, item reliability and validity, and technical quality.

Each year students qualify for the DUKE Tips Talent search based on their Terra Nova scores. To qualify, students need to score in the 95th percentile or above in an accepted subtest of the Terra Nova. Of those who qualify, we regularly have students who achieve scores high enough to be recognized at the state level. In recent years, Sacred Heart has been honored to have between 25-35 students qualify for the DUKE Tips recognition.
